Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday

Posted on Monday 16 January 2006

Today we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr’s birthday. I have always admired Dr. King and his perseverance in doing what was right in standing against the spirit of racism and segregation in the ’60’s. I truly believe racism and segregation is fueled by the spirit of religion! That’s why I hate that spirit so much!

One of the greatest speeches ever given outside the Bible was his famous “I Have A Dream” speech. In my opinion, that speech was in reality a prophetic word from God on where God not only intends to take the church of Jesus Christ, but also our nation. That speech so touched my heart years ago, I even wrote a song my brother recorded entitled “I Have A Dream”.

I have that same dream. That one day a man or woman will not be judged by the color of their skin, their bank account, their education or even the church they go to; but that we will be known by the love of God that is in our hearts, and is manifested by our love we demonstrate to one another.

Love not in words, but in deeds and in truth!

That’s real revival!
