WOW! What a week!
I don’t have time to post everything that happened these past two weeks, Internet time here is hard to come by. And when you do it’s slow, slower and stop!:)
Many backsliders came back to the Lord these last eight days…just as God had spoken to me the first of the year. We were able to distribute containers of clothes to the pastors that gathered at Wauna for the Pastors Seminar. We crossed the border three times into Venezuela and found the poorest village I believe I have ever laid eyes on. We went back on Late Saturday afternoon and distributed more tools and clothes and bags of rice.
I will try to give more details when I arrive home on Monday night.
Again, thanks to everyone who has prayed for us these last two weeks. Pastor Robert Sookermany from Trinidad and I both agree this was the most profitable week we have spent in the interior yet! To God Be All The Glory!
Without your support, we could not do this!
Peace out!
Glory to God!! I can’t wait to see the photo’s and hear all about it from your blog and from Miriam….I miss you guys….and wished I could have been there on this trip.
Serving Together
Hannah
I spent my first time with World Harvest Missions in Guyana and what an awesome experience I have just had these past 12 days. I am so pumped up with the things I saw on that trip. How God used a group of people who had been put together through word of mouth to go out and do a great work for Him. Most of the people there went because they had heard how hungry the Amerindians were for the Word of God. How poor they were. Yes they are indeed poor in the physical realm but let me tell you what I saw in the spiritual realm was a people who were rich. For those Amerindians that are saved and serving the Lord and what it takes for them just to get to places to hear the Word of God preached they are truly blessed. Their desire to learn more about God’s goodness and to share with their villages was an inspiration greater than anything I have experience here in the US.
The physical lack that those people have is heart wrenching. The deplorable conditions that they are still living in today in 2006 is mind-blowing. I am not sure any of the pictures taken could ever do justice to what was seen.
Continuing to support this ministry with prayers, funds and/or joinning the team on a trip to help strengthen their lives both physical and spiritually is very much needed to continue the tremendous work I just had the honor to be a part of. I hope to be able to join in on another trip in the future. I want to encourage any one reading this to start getting into position to be open to be used by God at any given time.
I have learned these past few days that you could be put on the spot at any time and you better have something in you to put out. I want to thank all who were on this trip, what a blessing not only to the Amerindians but to each other. I feel so blessed my heart feels like it is ready to explode. Thanks to all involved.
