God did so many wonderful things for the people in Guyana but he also performed heart surgery on me! We can't settle for "church as usual", we have to make a demand on the anointing! The first Sunday I was back I preached on " Where is the Lord God of Elijah?" and followed up that evening with " God is looking for the Elijahs!". A couple of days later, my children's pastor called and told me to turn on the TV because a nationally known preacher was preaching the same thing! I had no idea! I sat and cried as he shouted " Where is the Lord God of Elijah?". Also, Chere' and some of her friends attended a conference in Nashville last week and she called me after one of the services and said that Brian Houston from Hillsong preached on the same thing! We had crazy church this past Sunday! Check this out.... A young girl in her mid 20's who was Catholic for most of her life started visiting the church about a month ago. A couple of weeks later she accepted Christ. Sunday she received the baptism of the Holy Ghost! I wish you could have seen that Catholic girl get the HG! Wow! We love you man! ]]> By: Hannah Boots http://www.revivaljournal.com/2006/07/26/guyana-july-2006-cont/#comment-67 Hannah Boots Thu, 27 Jul 2006 18:39:02 +0000 http://www.revivaljournal.com/2006/07/26/guyana-july-2006-cont/#comment-67 David, As I read this post, I remember back to my trip in November to Guyana, how I got to see true Priase and Worship and how that changed my life.....Here in the states I noticed how people don't praise and worhsip as we should....they are affraid that people with laugh at them or call them a Jesus freak, or they do it because others do it or others are watching them and they must prove they are spiritual......well I am not ashamed to be called a Jesus freak or lift my hands and praise, worship my Lord & Savior.....and pray in tongues.......The privilege of carring the gospel of Jesus Christ to so many that have never heard the word or they just want to hear more!! Its an amazing experince that when given the chance to go out into the mission field you should GO...all I can say is Glory to God! They thirst for the Word there and they just want a place to praise God together in a house of worship they don't care if it has four walls thatch roof/shack they just want a place to worship. Hallelujah!
