Pam and I received one of the greatest Fathers Day gifts I think I have ever received on Monday. Both the Russell Family and the entire Copeland Family (oldest daughter and son in law included) met in Orlando Florida where our youngest daughter Missy and her husband David arranged for us to experience a 4D ultra-sound of our coming grandson. We were able to spend the day with our entire family; including our unborn grandson! Needless to say, I cried all day!
I am wowed at how far technology has increased! We could actually see baby Russell’s face, hands and feet! But the real joy is coming when we will be able to hold him, and won’t have to look at him through the eyes of technology!
When I think about how this relates to where the Church is at this season…we are seeing through a glass darkly…we are seeing a greater dimension of the coming Glory of God! We can see His Spirit moving in certain areas…others are not quite to the place where there is a recognizable features that revival or the coming Glory of God is anywhere close!
But there will come a day in which the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea! We will hold that baby close, experience the joy that birthing something special from God can bring! It will not have fuzzy features and outlines, but we will know as we are known!
As for me, I don’t want to have the knowledge of revival from a spectator’s position; I want to be a participator!
Btw, for people who think an unborn baby is a fetus and not a real human being, why not watch a 4D ultra sound, then come and tell me that smack…

David,
Our local Crisis Pregnancy Resource Center is attempting to move in the direction of ultra-sound. They’re having trouble getting a physician to oversee the effort. I have had a divided heart on the matter, but you say this would be truly persuasive? If so, I suppose the effort would be worthy of unbridled support. I sure would like to find a direction and get behind it full blast.
Congrats David!
We just got back from “Kid’s Ramp” this past weekend. It was hosted by Karen Wheaton at the Ramp in Hamilton. Becky Fisher from North Dakota was the guest speaker and it was totally awesome. Tons of kids received the baptism of the HG but the highlight of the camp was when about 700+ kids spent Saturday interceding for our unborn children & nation. Praise God!!
@Shane,
What an awesome report! Thanks, that lifted my spirits, PTL!
slw,
I will check with my daughter and find out more about the technology…how anyone could say this is not a human being after that is simply…..stupid!
What a great way to spend Father’s Day. We sure do love and appreciate you, Pam and your family. God is a good God.
Great news. I know you and Pam are excited. As you have stated, the view of revival is like the ultrasound we are growing into it soon to be delivered by the travailing midwives of the church. Our cry is that like in the day of Moses we pray they allow us to live.
I am a little behind here. I just now read your Father’s Day post and we are so happy that it meant so much to everyone. I do believe it was a God-idea and we really wanted to be able to share our pregnancy with our family and friends. I do agree with you on the 4D sonogram changing people’s perspectives. It is truly a miraculous experience and the first time you see it, I believe your views can be changed. There are some pictures of the baby on mine and David’s blogs.
