We just finished four days in Wytheville Virginia at Liberty Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church. Pastor Bob Lewis is a genuine apostle, leading this congregation in a fresh work of the Spirit there.
Every night there was a distinct flow of the Spirit. Every night, people added to the service by allowing the gifts to flow through them. Not in a kooky way; but in a very sensitive way that brought edification, exhortation and comfort! In fact the pastor said tonight, we’re just milking the Holy Ghost for everything we can get out of Him!!!
It was very interesting to end this week of meetings at the end of the Feast of Tabernacles. I am not a Judaizer; I don’t want to bring us back under the law. But we need to understand, Jesus didn’t come to destroy the Law, He came to fulfill it! Focusing on the pitcher of water pouring out on the altar in John 7, the Holy Ghost began to move and touch people with Living Water!
Thank God the Holy Spirit is just as real today as He ever has been! At the end of the service, an 11 year old boy testified God dealt with him an told him to come every service. God touched him tonight and you could see a visible difference in the young man’s countenance! That’s why the gifts operate: to bring confirmation of genuine change in people’s lives!
There is great debate on the internet on whether we shoudl allow the gifts of the Holy Spirit to operate in our services. I saw the gifts touch an 11 year old and make a dramatic change in his life. Adults were changed also, this according to the pastor.
More Lord!!!

I believe if a church isn’t letting the Holy Spirit move as it well pleases. Then that church isn’t doing the will of God. If a church or a person henders the movement of the Holy Spirit then they are acting on there own will not God’s. Every service needs to be ran by the Holy Spirit. It doesn’t mean that every service is going to be a tear running, foot dancing, all out shouting service. I’ve been to some services were the Holy Spirit touched and there was a calmness that came in and that preacher preached a service that made a person rejoice in the Spirit. God sent the Holy Spirit to move through us at will. So His will can be done.
David,
Glad to here of the great moves of the Holy Spirit. We had a powerful service Sunday A.M. One of my Elders (who was non-pentacostal when he came there) gave a prophetic Word, which was unusal for him to do. He had called me and said he felt the burning inside to speak to the congregation what he sensed he was hearing and feeling on the inside. Sunday morning the praise team sung a song and he said he felt confirmation, so he began to speak the Word that came from him was so powerful. The Holy Spirit spoke that “the veil was down and God was releasing His glory where there is hunger we now can go into the Holy Place, because there are no barriers on God’s part.” I can’t remember all of the words but it was so stirring. The gifts are certainly operational where He feels He is welcomed. I am personally experiencing a deep hunger to get alone with God and hear from Him. Love you guys keep preaching, the church needs it.
Brother, keep preaching it till He returns!
