So many were crying about judgment here in America. But it seems we may be heading for revival instead.
Proves the old saying true- when we cry judgment, God says MERCY.
Keep on keepin' on, David!
Shana and I send our love and prayers!

There are a lot of things that need to burn Bro.David, so GOD can truly have HIS total way with HIS people.. I know that I made a joke after I got burned, I would not want to pray for GOD to purge me with fire anymore.. But hey, if that is what it takes, so be it..lol GOD Bless you and SIs. Pam..

When we choose to be part of a move of the spirit that brings the Body of Christ together everyone wins. There is one church in Bedford meeting at many different locations. We are glad that you had a great first day. We will be praying for you the rest of the week.

God led me in a service on Saturday where we had a mix of Black and White people to lead people to repent of the sin of racism. The book of Acts is our pattern for what the church should look like. Help us Lord to get back to this. So glad that God is kissing Beauregard Revival Center. Much love.

Thanks Anthony, great word!

Thanks slw...keep the voice thundering!

Kathi, I think a lot of pressure has been put on pastors to be successful numerically, instead of faithfully...so with the unspoken pressure to become the next Joel Osteen, we've thrown the heritage of the local church out the window. That's coming in my next post!

I agree Brenda. I feel this is still an urgent message that needs to get out!

Get ride our our Absaloms!

Or God will do it for us.

And it won't be pretty!

I totally agree with this article, Jezebel has put on a mask, and raise up her head again. The only way to stop her from operating ,we must cut the head off, and righteouness is the only way. God is looking for a people that will stand on the word of God.Absalom, is the spirit of division, But every experence you encounter should teach you how to reconize that spirit, whether it wear a dress or pants. That why Jezebel errected an image, that had a woman breasts and man bottom part, so whatever it need to stand toe to toe with, man ,or woman, she wouldn't bag down from,we are living in an generation, if we don't wake up, a whole world will be lost 4/5 of america is lost in the house of God.

This is negative and not "correcting in love." It's insulting and degrading. "Let he who has no sin cast the first stone." John 7: 53 - 8: 11

We had the same thing on Sunday night. If I may share just a lttle. During our Praise and Worship the Holy Spirit just "brewded" over the place as if waiting to do something special. Then a yong lady gave a message in tongues and I gave the interpretation. People fell in the altars, just weeping. As the Spirit began to lift, I just dismissed people if they wanted to go they could or we would stay and pray. Everyone left but 8, one of my elders was caught up in the Spirit so intensely that he fell out and had 2 vision. After he came to, 2 hours later, he shared with me the events. we then prayed over every window, door in the place and they then prayed over me and since that time I have had the most unusal freedom of the Holy Spirit that even Wed night I preached for a solid hour. I almost sweated like David. But "REVIVAL" is upon those that will receive Him. Can't share everything but let's just say I will never be the same. Thanks David, Pam and Brad you've been right on with things.

You know, here is the deal. When I read the Scriptures I see that not everyone immediately spoke in tongues when they got baptized in the Holy Ghost, some prophesied! Now, if the argument against tongues as the initial evidence went along the lines that another supernatural gift could be the initial evidence I would be more sympathetic.

But the reality is that the argument that is presented goes more along the lines that someone could receive the baptism as a second work of grace and yet there could be <strong>no evidence!</strong> This is unbiblical and an attempt for some to give license to their lack of fruit.

The Holy Ghost has not gone into hiding. He has not gotten tired. He has not retreated. He was not buried with the original Apostles. There are Apostles and Prophets living today and the Holy Ghost is for all who believe with accompanying signs and wonders!

I feel the preach coming on so I will end it there! lol

But the reality is that the argument that is presented goes more along the lines that someone could receive the baptism as a second work of grace and yet there could be no evidence! This is unbiblical and an attempt for some to give license to their lack of fruit.

The Holy Ghost has not gone into hiding. He has not gotten tired. He has not retreated. He was not buried with the original Apostles. There are Apostles and Prophets living today and the Holy Ghost is for all who believe with accompanying signs and wonders!

Good word, David.
Can we preach a message that encourages prosperity with divine purpose? I think we have to, we simply must find that space between ditches right now.
I am believing that this year is the year when all the tours of hell become worth it.

David,
I have been preaching on " The Kingdom " for 2 weeks now. God has been speaking to me about kingdom finances. Although I have a finance background, I have always backed away from preaching kingdom prosperity because of the blatant manipulation we see every day on Christian broadcasting. But God spoke a word in my spirit & said," To preach the fullness of the kingdom , you must preach a balance word concerning finances." We have been given dominion and authority to RULE and REIGN ON THIS EARTH! How can we do that broke?? The only thing most churches are taking over is the McDonalds on Sunday night!
You are right, there is a shift happening to where the kingdom people will begain to invade the marketplace and as we do, God will take our seed and Multiply it to advance His kingdom throughout this earth. He said that He would CAUSE men to give unto you... that is not just someone slipping you $20 at church on Sunday but he can also cause customers to spend money at Christian owned businesses or He wll CAUSE that investment property to sell in a time when the market is flooded with foreclosures. There will be a KINGDOM transfer of wealth....
Eccl 2:26
6 For God gives wisdom and knowledge and joy to a man who is good in His sight; <strong>but to the sinner He gives the work of gathering and collecting, that he may give to him who is good before God</strong>NKJV

A good example is a church in Florida that bought the local MALL and has leased out every space available. They have been able to employ people from their church to run the office. The mortagage is around $85,000 a month and the rental income is around $260,000. That is $175,000 that could be used for the KIngdom of God! People might say the church has no business in the marketplace but I agree with you David. It is time for us to take over!
I Love you Man!

Amen!

We tell those who are called to preach that they have been called by God to share their revelation. We tell those who are called to supernatural prosperity to give 10% to the church. It makes no sense. I get revelation that is just for me. But I get at least an equal amount that I am supposed to give and I get fulfillment in operating in my purpose.

Preachers can't be scared to tell people that some are called to make a boatload of money and part of that calling is to give away significant portions of it. By casting out blanket statements that we are only required to give the tithe regardless (plus a few percent for offerings) sears the conscience of those whom God is calling to give much more.

Keep preachin brother!

Trads will hang you out to dry for that one for sure.
But I agree. It can not BE our message but it can help us to make the eternal message relatable to this generation.
Its a balance for sure but I see that this is where the church needs to go. To hold onto our roots while relating it to a generation that does not know God.

Hey Eric, thanks for stopping by! haven't heard from you here in a while!

I absolutely agree with you! We MUST seize every bit a technology from coffee houses to power points to reach this culture! But I have also held your church in Pascagoula up to others as a model of how you guys have used culture and been relevant without watering down the Word or quenching the move of the Spirit!

Ok, I will be the one everyone hates for this one. I believe that we have to focus much more on the Holy Spirit than programs, without a doubt. But, we also have to be compelling them to come in and reaching them where they are. Where are people today? What is our society like? We are a media driven culture that appeals through cutting edge technologies and such. Look at John the Baptist. He was a rebel, a renegade, an out of the ordinary guy. The problem I feel is that people in churches get so caught up with doing church that they miss God and they get so caught up in programs that they miss God and they dont reach people.

I believe you have to have a balance. I believe you have to be creative in order to be compelling. Yes, The Holy Spirit will lead people in, but He also expects us to reach them where they are.

At my church, we have alot of lighting and media for enhancement and creativity of our services. What I have learned is that people are being drawn to churches that are thriving to be cutting edge.

The Word of God is never watered down at CLI, David can relate to that, he has ministerd many times for me. I just believe we have gotten so caught up in doing church and expecting people to just run into our doors without doing anything. We have to reach and compel and be creative in our approach. It is all about reaching them where they are. Media of the world is very creative and cutting edge, why not the church?

Just my 2 cents, yall shoot me if you want to!

The Bible is true..
2Ti 3:1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.
2Ti 3:2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,
2Ti 3:3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good,
2Ti 3:4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God--
2Ti 3:5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.

"Having a form of godliness but denying its power." -- This is where were at!!

I do a lot of Jail ministry and I really do see a lot of hunger from guys in the jail. There really is a deep desire to go after God. But there are so few workers who want to come minister to these souls.. very sad! ... I guess there is no fame or popularity in a jail cell..no camera's ..you cant pass the offering plate...so these people are ignored. Just another sign of the times. -igy

I agree JC. That's what drives me to my knees...I sincerely want to carry the genuine anointing that will cause people to want to come back...but has the church become so lukewarm they will only tolerate a portion of the anointing...and has the sinner in the pig pen heard it so much they don't even want to attempt it anymore?

It has to do with being convenient, you bet. But it also has to do with what people see when they get there.
We have a real lack of power in the church now and it shows. We have Evangelists who are not Evangelists- they are itinerant preachers peddling the 'present truth'. But they only reach the lost in the house- not the prodigal in the pig pen.
Where are the real healing Evangelists? Where are the giants of God calling the lukewarm back to the fold and the sinner to repentance?
I think church would quickly climb up people's list of priorities if they actually had something to come and see and hear, other than hype.

We have to look at the old time preachers. They put tents up in a field adn they had a packed house for nights on end. Now people have to put atricles in newspapers weeks prior. Put adds on the radio weeks prior. To have maybe one full night of service. This is becuase it's not convenient enough for people to come. And people wonder why there church is dead. There's a want for Christ to move, but no motivation to do it themselves. It always has to be the other guy.

“Have people become so entertainment driven that the preaching of the Gospel has become nothing more than another form of entertainment?

I think people are hungry for truth. I think people are in great need of the gospel being preached with with signs following. Just look around at the spiritual condition of the church and you can see that the need is great. So the challenge is to preach the truth. Preach the Word and the signs will follow and people's real needs will be met.

Just look around at the spiritual condition of the church and you can see that the need is great. So the challenge is to preach the truth. Preach the Word and the signs will follow and people’s real needs will be met.

Yeah, that's a good view. But if you take a look at the panorama of American churches, you can see that it is not the rule, it is the exception to it.
Ego is a subtle thing. Many times in my ministry I have seen my ego and self esteem get tied up in my success as a preacher.
Now, I will repent- even cancel all speaking dates until I am square. But how many are not?
We don't tell the truth many times for fear of rejection. Do we also try to give exciting sermons for the same reason?
I think so.

Afraid so. Give us entertainment, make me a star are the two sides of American ministry.
It is a rock star- groupie culture that will be very hard to break, David- it feeds ego too much.
Love you, bro.

<em> Pastor Jack : "When you Identify the river you need to follow it up stream instead of just going with the current." </em>

I saw one of those slogans on a t-shirt once that said " Only dead fish go with the flow ". We've got to do what Pastor Jack said...Follow up stream.

Sad to hear about the missed Church. I know how a person can be so pumped to preach. Then the big let down. Well if you think it's a little cold there. We has a low of -20 and a high of 7. Not to many people in church here do to the cold. Well be blessed in all you do.

When you Identify the river you need to follow it up stream instead of just going with the current. At the rivers orgin you will find the 5 fold ministries of the church as well as the figts of the Holy Spirit and His help ministries. All of these help the current of the river to flow and keep the body(the church) free from stagnation. So along with you "let the river flow".

Sometimes we'd rather join the Army Corps of Engineers (the river inspectors) than discover our own stream and refresh the army of God by it. I have to admit, there are some streams that seem a bit wormwoody to me, but if we can't let anyone else be different than ourselves, where would the body be? I trust God will make your stream powerful and fruitful, how could that be anything but good for all the other streams?

Part of it....no, <strong>all of it </strong>is a maturity that is needed in our lives to accept who we are...and then if people don't accept us, God give us the maturity to move on without their affirmation!

I totally agree with you on this. You do see sometimes in ministry people to try to become someone elses river in a way. To find themselves failing. I also believe ministers that become ministers to be known will never make it. You don't go into the ministry to become famous but to do God's will. I think when you truely humble your self a persons river is able to grow and flow like it should. Do God's will and not yours and you can't do wrong. Be Blessed in All things. Can't wait to hear what God is doing in your ministry.

Hey David!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year too you also! You may not remember me but I attended a mission trip with Miriam, Becky, Josh, and you 3 years ago to Guyana, South America. I was just going through looking at South America stuff and came across this page and thought I'd tell you that it is great to see that God is still working many wonders through you. You are an inspiration to all. Anyway, I hope all is going well with you and Pam, and you both are constantly in my prayers. God Bless!

Thanks David and may God continue to bless your ministry in 2008.

The way our old year ended should mean that the New Year will continue at a roar out here in nowhere land. God is on the move, <strong>"big"</strong>!
God Bless You All !

We had an unusual move of the Holy Spirit in our service this Sunday. We had a spontaneous time of waiting on the Lord. There was such a prophetic flow in the service that anyone that wanted to move in the simple gift of prophecy could have. The move of the spirit actually started in the praise and worship practice. Then it carried over to the prayer time before the service and then to the service. I believe we are going to see unusual displays of his presence in 2008. Love you guys.

Awesome Word! This is really encouraging to me and my spirit just gets excited when we talk about new beginnings. I really feel 2008 is really going to be an explosive year. I was reading Psalm 8:2 and in the NIV it reads: From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. Because Praise and worship is my heart this really stood out to me. It says the Lord has ORDAINED PRAISE from the lips of children and infants. Wow! It's amazing how something so speechless can bring praise to our Lord. Just like the wind, water, birds, trees, and all of creation does the same. Everyday our Lord is being Praised! And everytime we praise and worship our creator the enemy is put to silence. Keep up the great work! May the Lord bless you INDEED and enlarge your territory!

African-American Churches have a higher expectation of their Deacons also. This expectation is, in my opinion, more closely aligned with what the Bible says than what it is in the average white Church. They expect their Deacons to be able to teach, or fill in for the Pastor if needed.

Just my .02 worth...

Hold on. Did I miss 1997? What happened to 10 years ago? :) Too much happening in 2007 to dwell on '97, I guess. :D
